Private label gummy launch checklist
This is the gummy-specific cut of DAT Supply's launch checklist — the same five project stages, narrowed to the decisions and review steps that are specific to a pectin-gummy concept. For the all-format version, see the general launch checklist linked below.
Concept
Confirm the target market, the active-ingredient stack and dose anchor, and the packaging direction (PET jar vs. doypack). Flag any actives that may need a Novel Food or GRAS-style review early — before the brief stage, not after.
Brief
Submit the project brief with the catalogue concept (or custom development scope), packaging, target market and quantity range. Confirm label language requirements per target market and agree the claims positioning direction.
Formulation
Select a catalogue concept or confirm the custom development scope. DAT reviews gummy-matrix compatibility for the chosen actives, then runs a pilot or prototype sample for a sensory (flavour, texture, colour) review.
Specification
Receive the specification document confirming formula, packaging and label artwork requirements. Review claims wording against the target market's framework, confirm the packaging dieline and artwork proofing route, then sign — this gate locks the formulation before production.
Production
DAT issues the batch manufacturing order once the specification is signed; the in-house quality team reviews the production run, and a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis is issued after production and released through the client portal.
